It was announced that the Oxhill Jumping Show and Gymkhana had raised over £200 for the Village Hall improvements, and that Roy Markham had raised £110 single-handed for the same cause.

A large part of the News was taken up by information on the Village Fete, and the Barn Dance that followed it in the barn at Whitehill Cottage.  This included a plea for information on how to construct and ignite a simple barbeque.

The Women’s Circle announced the date for their Garden Party, and there was a lengthy plea for villagers to attend church.

Several paragraphs were devoted to the De Havilland DH4 wings found at The Stores (now Karibu), and the excitement caused by them at the RAF Museum , Hendon.
