Oxhill News Issue No. 84 carried copious details of the Annual Parish Meeting held the month before – these notes written by our long-serving Parish Clerk Angela Kean.  Also mentioned were the results of the Attic Auction, held to raise funds to keep the Church tower standing and raising over £900, a considerable sum in 1980.

The A.G.M. of the Village Hall Committee was reported at some length.  Robin Teall and George Adams retired as Chairman and Treasurer respectively, being replaced by Vic Walters and Roy Markham.  Una Hill announced the Monte Carlo night, to be held later in May.

Harvey Brooker was enthusiastically raising money (by offering to deliver the EVENING mail and to do work in gardens), as was Tom Heritage (who offered farm manure at £8 per trailer load).
