Garden Club At the AGM this month we said a sincere thank-you to Rosemary Brown, who has done her 3 year stint as chairman of the garden club excellently, with a bouquet of spring flowers. Myrtle Knight kindly agreed to become our new chairman and we also welcomed onto the committee a new member Anne Nethercleft. The rest of the evening was spent enjoying a wine and cheese buffet and discussing our forthcoming plant sale and trip to Normandy. April is the start of the gardening club year and with an annual subscription still at £7.50 now would be a very good time to join the club. We have a mixture of speakers, visits to gardens of interest and social events – very good value and fun. The next meeting is in the village Hall on Thursday April 20th at 7.30. The May 18th meeting is the Plant Sale. Bring your bags and boxes and fill up with locally grown plants at very economical prices. Heather Brennan, Secretary |
