Village Hall

The Coffee Morning held recently raised just over £100 to help fund the Senior Citizens’ Christmas Lunch. Our grateful thanks go to all those who took came and who helped.

The Lunch itself will be on Monday 10th. Invitations have been distributed. Would anyone who has not yet RSVP'd to Gwyn or George (Karibu, 680286) please do so as soon as possible so that the table layout can be organised.

The first film showing in the hall will take place after this issue goes to press so a report on how it and the second screening went will appear in the New Year. This second event is scheduled for Monday 17th December, when the film shown will be, in honour of the season, White Christmas. Most of you know the songs, so why not come along and drown out the Old Groaner? Your Committee hopes to provide hot mince pies though not accompanied by that dreadful abomination, mulled wine.

Tickets (£5 a head) for the village New Year’s Eve Party are going quickly. We are limited in the number we can take in the hall (the dreaded Health & Safety strikes again), so if you would like to join us please contact Angela on 680565.
