Wanted

This coming April a number of the Village Hall Committee members have indicated that they wish to step down having made a tremendous contribution over the past few years. Therefore there will be a number of vacancies on the Committee that will need to be filled and the Committee is now looking for enthusiastic volunteers to join us.

The commitment is not huge because the Committee should have around 12 members and so tasks can be shared around. However, we do need people who feel that they have the time to be able to contribute. The out-going members have done a great job in stabilising the finances, improving and maintaining the building and have arranged many great events. There is every possibility that these events will decline in number if we cannot find replacement committee members.

Please think about whether you could find the time to take on the baton and make a contribution to our Village life. The AGM is scheduled for April 28th and that is when the retiring members will step down and the new members will be elected so please put this date in your Diary and come along to see how you can help.

[I feel it should be made clear that, by rule, all members of the committee stand down at the A.G.M. Providing they are willing to serve again there is of course no problem with them being re-appointed. Ed.]
