Angela and Una would like to say a big thank you to all those people who kindly sent cards, flowers, food and 'phone calls. We are very lucky to live in such a caring village!

P.S. Should you ever receive the opportunity of a medical test or check through the post then please don't disregard it as being 'not for me'. Had I not responded positively then my tumour would not have been diagnosed.

[Angela is referring especially to the bowel cancer stool tests which arrived in our village earlier this year. We are one of a small number of areas to be included in this trial, and I am assured that the take-up in some places has been quite low. A great pity, especially if it resulted in the tests not being rolled out nationwide. Ed.]
