Stour Singers Christmas Concert Stour Singers' 34th annual feast of Christmas Music will take place in St Edmund’s Church, Shipston-on Stour, on Saturday 5th December 2009 at 7.30 p.m. The singers will be accompanied by the Cherwell Orchestra and conducted by Richard Emms. Soloists will be Sarah Power, soprano, Cathy Bell, mezzo-soprano and John Stainsby, baritone. The programme will include Regina coeli (Mozart), the Christmas Oratorio ( J.S.Bach) and C.P.E. Bach’s Magnificat. There will be ample opportunity for everyone to take part in the carols for choir & audience. Tickets, £10 from R. Clarke, 27, High St. Shipston, choir members & at the door. (accompanied children free) |
