Deanery Synod

The next Deanery Synod is the one where we look at finance, and we are really pleased once again to be able to welcome Simon Lloyd to our meeting.  The Synod will be held at Long Compton on Tuesday, October 5th at 7.30 p.m., preceded by coffee from 7.00 onwards.  We will be looking at the budget for next year, and we hope to look at the new parish share system.  We particularly wish to invite parish treasurers to join us, but as ever this meeting is open to anyone, so please do feel very welcome to come along.

Quiet Morning

We are holding a Deanery Quiet morning with Tina Lamb, to which all those involved in ministry in our churches, in whatever way, are invited.  This will be held on Thursday, November 4th, 9.30 to about 1 p.m., in The Old Chapel, Oxhill.  Tina will be looking at the hymn ‘For all the saints who from their labour rest’, focusing on how labouring saints get rest and refreshment.   A light lunch will be provided for those that are able to stay.

Garden Party

Thanks to the generosity of those attending, the ad hoc collection meant that more than £70 can be sent to fund relief work overseas where it is most needed.
