Visiting Vicar

On Sunday 17th October the 9.30 a.m. Service will be conducted by Canon Rev. Marilyn Sharland. Marilyn is one of my many cousins and was also a very good schoolfriend. We lost contact for some years and it was to my surprise that I found Marilyn had become a Vicar having been one of the early campaigners for women priests. She was Minister to St. Barnabus Church in Gloucester for several years prior to her retirement five years ago. When she was visiting us she came to church with me and asked if she could take a service some time. So we have arranged for her to come on 17th. She is a lively character and will no doubt conduct an interesting service. Hope you can come.
