Deanery News

On Sunday December 5th we are in St. Edmund's holding a Christmas Music Workshop for our Shipston singers - but if anyone from another church would like to come along and learn (or refresh) some music to take back to their own churches, they would be very welcome.  The workshop will run from 3 p.m. to 5 p.m., with tea at some stage.  Contact me on 01295 688193 or revjill.tucker@tiscali.co.uk  for any further information.

After Christmas we look forward to an Instant Choirs Evensong Workshop in Brailes Church, led by Julian Harris, on Sunday January 30th.  This will begin at 2.30 p.m. (registration from 2.00 p.m.), running until 6.00 p.m., with tea in the middle, and Evensong will then begin at 6.30 p.m.  All are welcome, either to sing with us or join us for Evensong.  The cost for the workshop will be £6.  Again, full details from me, contact details as above.

The next Deanery Synod will be on Tuesday February 2nd in St. Edmundís Church, Shipston, at 7.30 p.m., when we are delighted to welcome Rev. Greg Bartlem, Diocesan Youth Officer, and Matt Brown, Shipston Deanery Youth Worker, to share their vision for reaching our young people with the Gospel.

Finally, Anthony Nicholls has an Epson Stylus Photo R3000 printer and separate scanner that he no longer needs and would be happy to see freely relocated in a new home.  If anyone is interested, would they contact him on antnic@webnet2000.net

Have a wonderful Christmas, as we celebrate the momentous event of God coming to live among us.
