Stour Singers On Saturday 11 December 2010 at 7.30 pm the Orchestra of the Swan is returning to Shipston to join Stour Singers in St Edmund's Church in a delightful programme of Christmas Music for All conducted by Richard Emms. Benjamin Britten's Saint Nicolas is the main work - it dates from 1948 & is one of several pieces he wrote to involve the community. The audience part is not difficult but very exciting so do come along and join in. The part of Nicolas is taken by Richard Dowling, a brilliant young tenor who broadcasts frequently as soloist with the BBC Singers. Tickets £12.50 (accompanied children free) from choir members, R.
