The Great North Runners We would like to thank everyone who sponsored us for the Great North Run. We are very pleased to annouce that we exceeded our original target by a factor of three and raised the grand total of £1200. We are particular grateful to Pam and Yvonne at The Peacock who donated the proceeds of the monthly quiz night to swell our total, and also to Pam for selling raffle tickets all weekend and to their customers for buying them. A sum of almost £275 was raised pushing our total into four figures. We were please that the chairman of Shipston Home Nursing, Clive Irwin was able to come along to the quiz and offer a vote of thanks at the end of a very successful evening.
