Who Killed Charlotte? We were distressed beyond words to discover, on Wednesday, January 11th, that our last surviving Muscovy duck had been shot dead: having been fit and well in the morning, she was found dead in her enclosure in the evening with a pellet wound in her head. Not only are we deeply saddened to loose her, it is incredibly disturbing that someone finds it acceptable to shoot and kill a family pet in this way. If anyone can throw any light as to what happened, we should love to hear from them. In the absence of any humane explanation, folks might be advised to keep a close eye on their animals.
