Festival Choir

As the Carol Service was after the deadline for the January News I was unable to file the report until now. I just wanted to say thank you to all the choiristers who attended the Carol Service for their tremendous performance. I know it has been a tremendous struggle this year to attend the rehearsals and nobody attended every one and some only managed one rehearsal, so well done! Our thanks must also go to Joyce Hall who led us through these difficult times and showed great patience while everyone caught up. Her efforts in coming so far each week are very much appreciated. Also our thanks should go to Colin and Jill Tucker who kindly lent us the use of the Chapel for our rehearsals and also for letting us borrow the electric piano for the service. It made a lot of difference to us inkeeping together having the piano so close. Several people commented that they could hear us a lot better at the back and as the church was full to overflowing this year there were a lot 'at the back'. Thank you all. Things may be a little different next year - so watch this space.

Our next 'gig' will be at the Jubilee celebrations on 3rd June. Please can all members of the choir contact me and let me know if they are available on that day and I will arrange for our rehearsals through April and May.
