Family Boules Day – Sunday, July 15, 2012

In addition to the adult Boules competition there will also be one for children as well as other suitable activities. The cost will be £6 per person and Children (up to the age of 12) are free and this cost will cover food and entry to the competition. Tickets are available from Gaynor van Dijk (680349)

Talk on Restoration of Chedham’s Yard in Wellesbourne – Friday, 20 July, 2012

There will be a talk by David Close who is closely involved with the Chedham's Yard project.  Since winning the BBC's £1million Restoration competition in 2006, work on restoring Chedham's Yard has been underway with the restored Yard due to open to the public this Summer.  Five generations of Chedham family were connected with the yard before it closed in 1965. The restored Blacksmith's and Wheelwright's ‘shops give an insight into the crafts of a bygone era and are an intriguing ‘time capsule’.

Doors will open at 7.30pm, Tickets will only cost £2 each & refreshments (not included in the ticket price) will be available. Call Tricia Harbour on 680676.

Village Hall Maintenance Day – Saturday, 11 August

We are having our annual Village Hall Maintenance day on Saturday, 11 August starting at 10.00am – volunteers with many or few DIY skills will be welcome.

An Italian journey – Saturday, 29 September

A new take on an old favourite – meet in the Village Hall for a glass or two of Prosecco and then off to various houses throughout the Village for some interesting Italian dishes and then on again to another couple of destinations for more varieties of super Italian food before returning to the Village Hall for Coffee & Liqueurs.

For the Italian ‘traveller’ you get to meet different people, see different houses and taste different delicacies and for the hosts you have all the fun of welcoming people into your home without the stress of preparing and cooking a full meal. More details to follow but put the date in your diary NOW!
