Garden Club

After a good pub lunch Garden Club members visited Janet Cropley’s garden. Janet and her husband welcomed us under louring and threatening skies. We found the beautifully tended garden “rooms” and the unusual trees inspiring. Although the main garden is mature it was interesting to see the wild area in its infancy.

After a leisurely amble around the Cropley estate we took tea on the lawn, then, clutching our bags of cuttings and specimens we made for home. And not a moment too soon as the heavens opened.

Time is running out for the photographic competition – 7 x 5 max size, unmounted picture in one of the following categories: Summer Flower or Winter in the Garden.
