SILKS...

an exciting hand sewn quilt in aid of Prostate Cancer.

On Saturday 20 October the Silks Quilt will be exhibited at the Tysoe Church - please come have a look!!

More than 20 women from Ravensthorpe in Northamptonshire, Tysoe in Warwickshire and friends, have sewn together a king-size patchwork quilt from men's silk ties. Even more women have raided their husbands' wardrobe and donated their ties for this cause.

The aim of this project is not only to raise funds for two very worthy causes, but to recognise the volunteer effort and hours that have gone into producing this unique craft art and to educate others new to this traditional craft, encouraging them to have a go too.
