Vicarage Notes

Dear friends,

I write these notes before Harvest, so I’m hoping we will still be enjoying some delightful September sunshine that may become St. Luke’s Little Summer in mid- October.

Luke the Evangelist and Doctor (feast day on the 18th) is always remembered for his focus on the Jesus who reached out to all in need. It is only in his Gospel that we read the story of the “Good Samaritan” for example. The life and mission of today’s church must always reflect prayerful, effective and practical compassion. Our harvest gifts are a small expression of thinking of others – thank you for your support.

On a different subject entirely, please support the Pig Roast and Skittles evening on the 6th – always a good event, and one that helps the church pay its way each year.

Best wishes and God bless,

Nicholas Morgan    01608 685230
