Despite the continuing recession, our area has surpassed itself yet again. We managed to beat last year's record, raising am incredible sum of over £3k.

Although the veterans from the two World Wars are fast decreasing in numbers, the advances in medicine mean that many more soldiers are now surviving their injuries sustained in current warfare.

It is for them that The Legion exists and on behalf of them I would like to say thanks to the generosity of those that give, and thanks also to those that give up their time to collect.
