Gardening Club

The Garden Club and friends enjoyed a very interesting and at times amusing talk by the sculptor James Butler of Radway at our January meeting. James told us how he first got into sculpting and something of his artistic background. He showed us many slides of his amazing work from bronzes of his family to water features and huge works depicting soldiers or famous people. He truly is a talented man and we are fortunate to have him as a local artist. Judging by the amount of questions, the capacity audience found his talk very stimulating. I think they found the wine and the coffee and biscuits stimulating too! Altogether a most enjoyable evening.

The next meeting is on February 20th in the village hall when Roger Umpelby makes a return visit to cheer us up with British Butterflies.
