Matters Discussed

Whatcote Road Sewer Work

More information has been distributed around the village by Severn Trent. The question of bin collections had been discussed and a system would be put in place.

Planning

Stratford District Council Planning Committee had unanimously rejected the proposed 80 dwelling development on the Oxhill Road.

Planning permission has been granted for (i) first floor side extension and new porch at Hillox; (ii) new retail unit with office space and staff facilities, car parking and vehicular access at Windmill Farm; (iii) first floor extension and a two storey extension at Binswood Cottage; (iv) single storey rear extension at Morningside.

Planning application was returned with no objection for removal of hawthorn tree at Meadow Cottage.

Proposed garage replacement at The Old Church House was proceeding under the Householder Appeals Service.

Finance

Precept for the financial year 2014/2015 was discussed and a sum of £2400 would be requested as last year. This covers mandatory insurance and audits, clerks expenses, grants towards mowing the churchyard and village hall grass area. Oxhill News printing costs and village plan expenses would also be covered.

Highways

Potholes would be requested for repair.

The oak tree planted to commemorate the Queen’s Diamond Jubilee has died after being replanted by Warwickshire County Council. Tom Heritage has offered to replace this.
