Vicarage Notes

Many churches on a tourist trail have prayer cards and booklets for sale and I am putting together a selection for Oxhill to have this summer. In the wintertime, the paper curls and deteriorates in the cold air! I rather like the celtic blessing:

May the road rise up to meet you,
May the wind be always at your back,
May the sun shine upon your face,
And the rains fall soft upon your fields,
And so, until we meet again,
May God hold you in the palm of his hand.

Restoration Project

I am delighted to announce that we have been awarded a grant of £10,000 from the Historic Churches Trust - an extra paragraph from Sue Hunt on behalf of the P.C.C. is also in the News. We have also received a further £3,000 from private trusts and I am confident that after our special fund raising concert in April we will be well on the way to having achieved out target!

The porch roof is to be repaired early this month, so 2014 is looking good on the practical front.
