True Love - at Shipston Prom

As part of the 2014 Shipston Proms Season, Cantamus and Three’s Company will be presenting an evening of musings on the theme of true love. Richard Emms will be conducting his chamber choir in a delightful programme of music, interleaved with readings by Anne Hume and Sheila Probert, on Thursday evening 26th June at 7.30.p.m. in St. Edmund’s Church. Tickets cost £8, and “Friends of Shipston Proms” are entitled to free entry. The varied musical programme includes folksongs, madrigals, with Cole Porter and Jerome Kern classics. Perhaps we shall discover that “the course of true love never did run smooth”. If you would like to know more, contact Yvonne Ridley on 01789 269587.
