Vicarage Notes

All are warmly invited to the special service of Thanksgiving for the completion of the main part of the project – the renewal of the nave roof, extensive stonework repairs and conservation work on the south doorway. Repairs to the east window glazing have been completed as well. There remains the installation of stainless steel internal belfry guards and, of course, the internal re-decoration that’s now required. The service will be a 40 min “Songs of Praise” – do come if you can.

Harvest 2014

We shall be celebrating Harvest Festival on the 28^th at 9.30am – the collection and auction of fresh produce being for Farm Africa, with tinned etc going to a local food-bank. All welcome!

The Barn dance

Finally, don’t forget the harvest Barn Dance on Sat.27^th – the final flourish of the the Restoration appeal – let’s get the church decorated!

The Restoration Project Summary Accounts

As promised, we’re able to include the summary accounts in the Oxhill News, and I’m delighted to show what has been achieved over the last 2 years. Well done, everyone – and thanks for all the support from English Heritage, other grant making trusts, friends from round about and you - the local community.

We are mindful, of course, that far less has been going into the General Fund over the this time, so there’ll still have to be careful housekeeping!
