Be Part Of It

At the recent Annual Parish Meeting, the St Lawrence Electoral Roll was declared as comprising 39 persons – not a large number considering the general regard in which the Church is held by those residing in the village.

As an architectural feature and landmark the church is an integral part of Oxhill – indeed the activities that take place there, be they the weekly services or less frequent christenings, weddings and funerals, are part of village life.  Occasional secular / fund raising events such as scarecrow weekends, lamb and curry lunches and barn dances (Saturday 17th September this year) bring villagers together to enjoy one another’s company and help give Oxhill its unique character.

If you’ve not been inside St Lawrence’s recently, drop in and enjoy a few moments’ tranquility in newly decorated surroundings – and maybe, as a friend of the church, pick up a form to complete and be part of the Electoral Roll.
