Remembering

On the evening of Wednesday, November 2nd at 7.30pm in St, Lawrence Church we are having a Service of Remembering, a time of music, prayer and reflection for those we have lost (and afterwards we will serve refreshments). All are welcome, whether they have lost someone recently or decades ago, acknowledging that grief never leaves us.

If there is a name you would like to have read out during the service (even if you cannot be there) please either let me know, or sign the list in the back of church.

Then Sunday, November 13th is of course Remembrance Sunday, when there will be a special service here are 9.30am as we acknowledge the sacrifices and gifts of those who have in past, and continue to this day, to serve their country and communities.

Towards the end of the month, November 27th is Advent Sunday, when once again the Travelling Nativity will be making its way round the village, travelling from home to home as a symbol of the journey Mary and Joseph made before arriving in Bethlehem. Do look out for the invitation to sign up to that.
