Village Hall Events

Friday 9th July from 7.00 p.m.

Thank Goodness It’s The WeekEnd (TGITWE)

We are responding to requests from people in the village to hold a casual evening with a simple meal, a few drinks and a chat with friends on a Friday evening and the first of these will be on the above date.  On this occasion, we will be providing a lasagne, salad & garlic bread meal (together with a dessert on this inaugural event) for a cost of just £7.50 per person.

Tickets (which must be bought in advance) are available from Tricia Harbour (680676).

Sunday 18th July at 12.30 p.m.

Boules Competition

Once again we are pleased to announce that we are holding our ever-popular Boules Competition accompanied by French cheeses, patés, wine and beer on Sunday, 18th July starting at 12.30 p.m.  As usual, we will be taking precautions to ensure that the event goes ahead despite the vagaries of the English weather.  The cost will be £6 per person and children (up to the age of 12) are free and this cost will cover food and entry to the competition.  Angela Emmerson (680565) can provide tickets.

Sunday 8th August from 10.00 a.m.

Village Hall Working Party Day

On Sunday, 8 August, the Village Hall Committee are going to carry out some much-needed maintenance on the Hall and are looking for volunteers to assist in the task. Amongst other tasks we want to clear out the entrance hall annexe, clear out the gutters, re-organise the store room and clear out the kitchen cupboards.

We know that this sounds a bit like hard work but we think that it is necessary to preserve this facility for the Village and if any more encouragement is needed then there will be a free BBQ and drinks for those who come along and help.
