and foremost we send our condolences to Joyce Clark’s family in their
sad and sudden loss of their mother. Joyce
was a lesson to us all in that, for all her ups and downs, and of late
there were a good many downs, I for one never heard her complain or
grumble. She always looked on the bright side. We
finally managed to enjoy our “Spring” dinner at the White Hart at
Newbold. Sixteen of us had a very enjoyable evening. We
are already planning our Summer outing, probably to the ‘ Our
Speaker at our March meeting gave us a most interesting insight into
Elizabeth I’s visit to Charlecote: how they behaved, what they had to
eat and even what the weather was like. You might have thought he had been
there himself. |
